I was checking out the Boston Globe’s beautiful new site design and I stumbled upon this great article. It’s probably the best, most forward-thinking and insightful piece I’ve read about the ways 9/11 changed our lives. And not in the doomsday sort of nothing-will-ever-be-the-same-again way. The author takes a look at all the disciplines of study that learned something crucial from the events that day.
We tend to try to make sense of chaos in order to process it, and after reading this, it feels like that wasn’t just an exercise in grief management. From mathematics to psychology to the science of memory to security-informed design, there are so many people in these fields who found a way to respond to the attack by applying their work to understanding something from the fallout. It’s a fascinating read.

Have you ever noticed how when there is a movie that somehow has to do with California the characters are always the same. Blonde hair, blue eyes, skinny, and nicely tanned. There are the soccer moms who drive their kids to the game, drinking there starbucks coffee in hand.
As we all know I am from the greatest city the west coast has ever seen San Francisco. For those of you who have eather never been to the city, seen it, or crazy enough as it sounds, heard of San Francisco, heres the down low.
The top reasons San Francisco is number one: its landmarks, such as its buildings and bridges, and number 2: the fact that it is the Gay capital of the American west coast.
My family has been here a long time, example, I am a seventh generation San Franciscan. My family has been here a long time….clearly.
Now anyway, back to what I was saying (face palm), here is what a real all time California girl is like. Yes, the girls I have listed above do exist, but they tend to not be the nicest of the bunch, no offence.
Then there is the second in command is single ladies between their twenties and forties. For instance, I have a friend who is one of these fabulous women. She has just graduated College with a Business Degree and she is starting her own business. Notice how I didn’t mention a man…..its cause we don’t need a man to make the money. hehe
She shoutes, she scores, here are the mammas of the city. They take care of the future San Fransican citizens. Not only do they have to take care of themselves but they have to take care of there families and that takes guts. I have two little brothers and jezz they are a handful XP
And then there is us, the crazy teens. As for me, well……im sorta one of the darker kids, when it comes to fashon. I ware t-shirts and skinny jeans and razor my hair…..go figure:) The funny thing is, my best friend is the biggest prep I think anyone could ever meet. Yes, she may be a cheerleader but hey….its the ones who ware too much lip gloss, those are the real bitches lol.
So yeah….I tend to fall off topic, you’ll notice that..haha, anyway seeya later chickys and dudes.
